Greg and Felicity

Greg and Felicity are a British documentary filmmaking duo from the Isle of Wight. They produce independent documentary films, with a focus on travel, wildlife and historical topics, from a Cetacean charity in Scotland to Vlad the Impaler in Romania.

Constisting of entertainer and magician Greg[1] and Felicity, a wildlife enthusiast and fossil collector, the self-contained husband-and-wife team write, direct, present, and produce the documentaries themselves.

Documentaries

Mexico: Mayan Mystery and Marine Majesty

Greg and Felicity produced their first documentary Mexico: Mayan Mystery and Marine Majesty on their Honeymoon in 2019, before expanding into films covering a range of different topics from wildlife conservation to historical figures, often centered around a specific country.

The Isle of Man: Railways, Castles and Seals

The pair took advantage of Greg having a show on the Isle of Man later in 2019 to create their second documentary, The Isle of Man: Railways, Castles and Seals. [2]

Romania: Seeking Dracula’s Castle

Romania: Seeking Dracula’s Castle (2020) marked the first of the couple’s documentaries to move from YouTube to streaming platforms like Prime Video, [3] and Tubi.[4]

In the documentary Greg and Felicity mexplore locations in Romania associated the history and legend of Vlad the Impaler and the story of Dracula, including Bran Castle, Snagov Monastery, and Poenari Castle. UK Film Review described the documentary as “part travelogue and part history lesson”.[5] The documentary is catalogued in film databases including IMDb and TheMovieDB.

Seeking Cetaceans In Scotland

In 2021, Greg and Felicity travelled up to the Moray Firth in Scotland to work with the marine wildlife charity The Cetacean Research and Rescue Unit (CRRU) to produce a documentary sharing details of the work that the charity carry out. Greg and Felicity worked closely with the charity, using the documentary to help raise awareness about the work that the CRRU does.[6][7]

Seeking the First Dinosaur Hunters

Seeking the First Dinosaur Hunters (2022) was inspired by the fact that Greg and Felicity met while guiding fossil-hunting trips on the Isle of Wight.[8]

The documentary looks at the early days of palaeontology, the first dinosaur fossil discoveries and the people who discovered them. To show the range of this story the filming took place at the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs , the Museum of Natural Sciences , Oxford University Museum of Natural History and Charmouth Museum, among other places.UK Film Review described it as a ‘fascinating documentary’ with ‘likeable presenters’.[9]

Greg Chapman also tours the UK as entertainer and magician, performing shows themed around different topics.[10]

He is also the author of a book on the history of magic, a subject of enduring fascination for him.[11]
