Bill Leyland (born 3 February 2003) is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays as a hooker for Hull Kingston Rovers in the Super League.
Background
[edit]Leyland was born in Maidstone, Kent, England. His brother Oli Leyland is a fellow London player.[3]
He played for the Invicta Panthers as a junior.[4]
Leyland attended Maidstone Grammar School[5] and graduated from St Marys University in Twickenham, London.[6]
Playing career
[edit]London Broncos
[edit]He joined the London Broncos first team squad at the start of the 2022 season.
He made his professional debut for the London Broncos in 2022 against the York Knights.[7]
Leyland was the Championship young player of the year in 2023.[8]
On 15 October 2023, Leyland played in the Championship Grand Final victory against Toulouse Olympique in France.[9][10]
Hull Kingston Rovers
[edit]On 15 July 2024 it was reported that he had signed for Hull Kingston Rovers in the Super League on a 2-year deal.[11]
Huddersfield Giants (loan)
[edit]On 9 April 2025 it was reported that he had signed for the Huddersfield Giants in the Super League on loan.[12]
