The 2026 Minnesota Secretary of State election will be held on November 3, 2026, to elect the Minnesota Secretary of State. Incumbent Steve Simon is running for re-election to a fourth term.^[1] Prior to Governor Tim Walz's announcement of his re-election campaign, there had been speculation that Simon would run for governor.^[2] Former Republican senator Tad Jude announced his candidacy on September 12, 2025.^[3]
