Doing Great Work!

[edit source]

I'm watching your progress on the RC feed, you're doing great work alphabetizing all those books. It's a real service to this project. Good job, and keep up the good work! --Whiteknight (Page) (Talk) 03:05, 14 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello Dallas. Welcome to wikibooks! Just to repeat what Whitknight has said: great work! I might try and do some categorising myself :-) --AdRiley (talk) 12:41, 14 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Don't do the "TeX/" books

[edit source]

Do me a favor and don't tag the rest of the "TeX/" books. Those need to be cleaned up in a different way. Thanks. --Whiteknight (Page) (Talk) 02:32, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

WB:RIGHTS

[edit source]

Have you thought about doing other cleanup tasks? You've certainly been prolific with categorizing - would you be interested in doing new page patrol?  — Mike.lifeguard | talk 16:19, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello Dallas!

I am an instructor for a course at Old Dominion University. Our students write the wikibooks titled Foundations of Education and Instructional Assessment. You have been tampering with our pages and I am not sure why. I am not clear why you have put an
Please add {{alphabetical}} only to book title pages. on our page. We are required to post the Category button on all pages we create. Is there something I am missing? I would be more than happy to explain our project in more detail, if this would clear up the confusion. We also have students rate each others work. Is there something incorrect with our rating button coding? Thank you for your clarification!

Hello Dallas,

Each semester we build a new edition to our book. Students sign up to write the articles, but sometimes there are a few empty pages. We place category buttons on these so that they are no tampered with or erased. This also allows visitors from outside of the class to contribute to our book. Currently we are building the third edition. Unfortunately, with all of our responsibilities, we can not build over a thousand pages in a day. We would appreciate your hesitation in marking blank pages (those without category buttons) because we are on a mission to finish them ASAP. We really appreciate your assitance to the Wikibook project and please feel free to send me a message if you have any questions and/or before you mark a lot of pages. This will save both of us time. Have a great day!
