Production of PDF version

[edit source]

The 2006 PDF version produced by Hagindaz was apparently made by converting the wiki text to Latex and fine-tuning the output by hand. The end result is very nice, but probably too technical and time consuming. The fact that no PDF version has been produced that way for several years makes it no longer practical for this book. The new PDF version is being produced by printing a Postscript file from Firefox and converting to PDF using the Linux ps2pdf command. The browser default font was set to Nimbus Roman No 9 L / size 16, and the page to A4 portrait with 12.7 mm margins all round. Printer margins were 0.16" left and right and 0.14" top and bottom. Pages from 2 to 227 were printed to the file. Recent Runes (talk) 20:02, 5 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
