Alekhine's Defence

[edit | edit source]

With his knight finally safe, Black can start to put pressure on White's pawn center. The most aggressive move in this position is 3...d6 or e6.

Black also has the option of playing the dubious but somewhat tricky O'Sullivan Gambit with 3...b5.
