Visual Editor

The AI Builder visual editor — Edit content for direct text and image changes, Select & edit for targeted AI changes, formatting options, and credit use.

Not every change needs a prompt. The visual editor lets you work directly on the preview: fix a typo, swap a photo, or point at a section and say what should change.

It has two modes, switched from the preview toolbar.

Edit content

Click text or images in the preview and change them in place.

  • Text — edit headings, paragraphs, buttons, labels, and links. Format with bold, italic, underline, alignment, font family, size, color, and link targets.

  • Images — upload a new image or replace an existing one.

  • Undo and Redo step through your edits; Save keeps them and Discard throws them away.

Saving direct edits doesn't use AI credits. Save or discard before publishing.

Select & edit

Select one or more elements in the preview and add a comment for the AI — "make this a two-column grid", "use our brand blue here", "replace with a testimonial carousel". You can attach images to a comment. The AI applies the changes to those exact elements, which is more precise than describing them in chat.

Select & edit uses AI credits, like a chat message.

What's editable

Edit content works on fixed content in your pages: text, links, buttons, headings, labels, and images. Content that comes from the database — product names, blog posts, records — isn't edited here; change it in the Data view or the store manager. Layout and spacing changes go through Select & edit or chat.
