Metadata
Metadata endpoints are designed to simplify working with Glassnode data and to facilitate integration with existing systems. Metadata requests do not count towards used API calls; however, they remain subject to the per-account rate limit of 1200 requests per minute.
Assets
GET https://api.glassnode.com/v1/metadata/assets
Lists all assets and relevant metadata.
The base request returns the complete list of all known assets. With the query parameter, filter, the data can also be queried via Common Expression Language (CEL). See Assets Metadata Usage for usage examples and cel.dev for more details.

Lists all available metric paths. This should be used as the base list which can then be used to retrieve metadata from the detail view Metric Metadata.
Note: the paths only include the metric portion of the path, and not the full path containing /v1/metrics.

Retrieves metadata describing the available parameters and potential drill-down options for a metric.
The base request, where only path is queried, returns the union of all possible parameters and their values.
It is possible that certain parameter combinations support different values. The exact set of supported values can be queried by passing them to the metadata request.

Query Parameters
The path parameter is required. All other parameters are optional and can be used to refine the metadata query. Each metric can support a different set of parameters - the available parameters and their valid values for a specific metric are returned in the parameters field of the response when querying with ?path=.
When an additional parameter is passed, the response will also include parameters_defaults, which contains the default values which are applied to the query if not passed by the client.

Metric Metadata Usage

Add the asset a parameter to the query with a value from the response to refine the query further. Adding additional parameters to the query will further narrow down supported parameter values.

Metric Stats
GET https://api.glassnode.com/v1/metadata/metric/stats
Returns performance statistics for a metric, exposing the current data lag as aggregated percentiles over the past 30 days. Use this endpoint to assess expected data freshness and plan integration timing.
Lag values represent the time between when data is expected and when it is available, expressed in seconds. Statistics are computed per resolution interval (e.g., 10m, 1h, 24h) and reflect the distribution of maximum lags observed over the past 30 days.
