Can I remove previous version of pages ?

I am after some advice regarding the new version of pages.

I don't want to take out the subscription to creator studio but would like to carry on using pages etc which came with my Mac.

If I upgrade to v15 can I just use this as normal free version of pages ?

I will now obviously have the original 14.5 still on the Mac so would it be best to keep both versions or remove v14.5

in the knowledge that v15 will receive ongoing updates which should be free in the future seeing as 14.5 will no longer be updated.

Thank you

Mac mini, macOS 26.2

Version v15.1 of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are not subscription based by default when you install them. They have an optional in-app purchase to unlock their premium features via Creator Studio. Those premium features will have a purple symbol on them (as seen in v15.1 templates).

After you install these v15.1 applications, your v14.5 versions will remain the default on the Finder's Open With menu with v15.1 being an alternate.

The first launch of a v15.1 application will inform that its corresponding v14.5 is now obsolete and can be removed. There will never be a v14.6 version in the future. The ability to copy/paste is lost between Pages v14.5 and Pages v15.1 documents, and if you use Grammarly for Mac, it presently stoppedf working with Pages v15.1.
