How to get long date format on lock screen

I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 26.0.1. On the lock screen, the date, just above the clock widget, is displayed in the short format, for example, “Mon 3 Nov”. However, I’ve noticed that in some iPhones, the date format is “Monday, 3 November” (long format). I’ve tried to change the date format on my iPhone, but I don’t seem to be able to find a widget that displays the date in the long format. Could someone please advise me on how to change the date format to “Monday, 3 November” instead of “Mon 3 Nov”?

Getting a Long Data Format on Lock Screen:

To change the date format on your iOS 26 Lock Screen to a long format, there needs to be available options. But, note that this could be different depending on the model of your iPhone.

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Wallpaper
  3. Tap: [the lock screen image]
  4. Tap: the date display

As I mentioned, I’ve already checked the settings, and there’s no Calendar widget that displays long date format (e.g., Monday, 3 November). However, there’s only a single option for short date formats (e.g., Mon 3 Nov) under calendar widgets. Secondly, regarding the link you shared, I’ve already searched extensively and then posted here. My internet search hasn’t been helpful, and most of the links I found are about changing clock styles rather than date formats. Therefore, it’s not helpful.

There’s no need to be rude. Having done your part on leaving feedback, that helps many out there facing the same issue, who are also troubleshooting this. And I’ll leave it at that.
