iPhone dictation changes first letter case in initial sentence

regardless of what keyboard I use, my iPhone changes the first letter of the first word of any dictated text from upper case to lower case just before or as I send it. It only happens with the first sentence, and only when I dictate a text. I've tried everything, including turning off and turning on dictation, Siri and other menu items related to auto correct. Nothing works. I found a solution in another thread regarding changing settings in the accessibility menu, but it did not work. I have a brain injury and this is extremely debilitating for me.

Sorry you are experiencing this annoyance. If you need an iOS update, that may help change the situation.

It says in your post you are using iOS 18.on your iPhone 13 Pro Max:

Wondering whether or not you have the most recent iOS 18 version installed on your iPhone:

About iOS 18 Updates - Apple Support says the latest update iis iOS 18.7.1

and "This update provides important security fixes and is recommended for all users".

You can check in Settings > General > Software Updates to see what updates are available to choose from.

Reminder: It is always wise to back-up your iPhone first, if you choose to update the iOS version.

If you are already using iOS 18.7.1 on your iPhone:

You may want to try restarting your iPhone, as that often restores order if something is not working as expected.
