Would you like to use Salsa CI for Ubuntu releases/branches?

Hi fellow Ubuntu/Debian Developers,

Salsa CI (https://salsa.debian.org/salsa-ci-team/pipeline), a CI platform by Debian, plays a crucial role in ensuring package quality and is used widely by Debian Developers to test packages before upload. Currently it is designed only for Debian unstable/stable/oldstable uploads, but there are plans to enable it for Ubuntu releases as well, meaning it could run Ubuntu-specific images/tests for source code packages that target Ubuntu (mainly stable updates).

If you would like to see this happen, please +1 at https://salsa.debian.org/salsa-ci-team/pipeline/-/issues/327

Thanks!

That’d be really great. More testing is simply better for the end users.

EDIT: gave a +1

Thanks!

This didn’t spark much comments. I wonder if I should raise this on some other topic here in the Ubuntu Discourse or elsewhere? Ubuntu Matrix channels maybe?

I think it’ll be better, if you share about this in the matrix group also.
