User Contributed Notes

  1. Skip to note 2 content

    Example 1: Change the “Remember Me” help text

    The filtered text is shown in the toggletip next to the “Remember Me” checkbox on the login form.

    add_filter( 'login_remember_me_help_text', function () {
    	return __( 'Stay signed in on this device for up to 14 days. Do not use this on a shared or public computer.', 'my-textdomain' );
    } );

    14 days is the default length of a “Remember Me” login. If your site changes it with the auth_cookie_expiration filter, update the text to match.

    Example 2: Remove the help toggletip

    Returning an empty string removes the help button from the login form. The “Remember Me” checkbox itself is not affected.

    add_filter( 'login_remember_me_help_text', '__return_empty_string' );
