EXCLUSIVE: Black Bear will handle sales in Asia and MENA (Middle East North Africa) on Jason Statham action pic The Beekeeper 2, which is in production in London.
Black Bear will be talking to buyers in the 15-20 territories ahead of the American Film Market, which gets underway this month in LA. Amazon/MGM is handling the release in all other international markets and is aboard for North America, as we revealed earlier this year.
Statham stars with Jeremy Irons, Yara Shahidi, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi, Jemma Redgrave, Pom Klementieff, and Adam Copeland.
Directed by Timo Tjahjanto and written by Kurt Wimmer, the sequel is produced and financed by Miramax. Jason Statham via Punch Palace Productions, Chris Long via Long Shot Productions, and Kurt Wimmer also produce. Miramax executives Jonathan Glickman, Alexandra Loewy, and Thom Zadra are executive producers.

The first movie, directed by David Ayer, followed a retired clandestine human-intelligence operative who sets out for revenge after his kind-hearted landlady becomes the victim of a phishing scam that steals millions of dollars from a charity she runs. It grossed $163M at the global box office and has a 92% Verified Hot rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Amazon MGM recently teamed up with Statham and Black Bear on A Working Man.

Dammit
I thought David Ayer would return
different directors but hopefully Timo Tjahjanto
Will stick with the same tone/ not ruin this
I hope he goes after robocallers next!
The best movie in years, a real wakeup call to educate people about the internet and the useless people that thrive on grief and despair associated with it. Jason deserves an academy award for this film and for many of his other works
I can’t wsit for the Beekeeper 2, to hit the screens!!!
I really enjoyed the Beekeeper!!!!
A working man and beekeeper were very impressive, I can wait to see the second one 👌🙏.
A Working Man was bad but the beekeeper was good. I’m surprised MGM isn’t buying in again considering they were both profitable and the director they hired is good, for the sequel that is.
The director is good you say
What are some other projects he’s directed?
Might have to check him out
