I’m a huge fan of multivariate testing when done properly and sparingly. I feel like a lot of people try and do multivariate testing on the whole website at one time. Which in my opinion is a bad idea because then you are making the sample size for each variation so small that it’s hard to get a true read on everything.

Excellent article. I’m just about to run a campaign for a client and was considering multivariate testing but wondered whether it would give me significant stats fast enough. Based on the article and the amount of traffic we’ll be sending, I think we’ll stick with A/B for now.
