English: Gravure extraite du tome 1 des Fleurs animées (1847) de Grandville. Il s'agit d'une estampe colorisée à l'aquarelle sur laquelle est représentée une figure humaine personnifiant une ramure de laurier. Seule la partie supérieure du corps est représentée, le visage en totalité masqué, voire remplacé, par un bouclier, une épée et une lance se croisant. Une main gantée de métal émergeant d'un tissu blanc tient fermement une imposante branche de laurier composée de plusieurs rameaux, dont l'un d'eux est relié par une chaîne à l'épée.
