Description
English: Map and location of the Antilles. Here, the Greater Antilles is shown in red, and the Lesser Antilles is color-coded in various shades of red and purple; the Leeward Islands are colored maroon, the Windward Islands appear in dark magenta, and the Leeward Antilles is shown in purple. Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago, which are not physiographically members of the Windward Islands, are displayed in dark pink, and the Virgin Islands have a brownish hue that is faintly discernible. The Lucayan Archipelago is not considered part of the Antilles grouping, but as a member of the broader West Indies, of which the Antilles is a part, it is shaded in gold.
