- @Carltg9: Why is this file named "File:EllenPao.jpg" with a description that says "Ellen Pao at Reddit headquarters" when that's not even remotely what it depicts? Kept: I see from w:List_of_school_pranks#Circle_game that this is listed as a prank/bullying tactic hand sign. The current name and description are inappropriate, and I can see why anyone would see it as something immature or derogatory. I think the response to this deletion request is out of line considering. You're not looking too credible at this point Carltg9. If you're here to play games, you'll find yourself blocked pretty quickly. I'm closing this as speedy keep in order to rename it without a redirect and change the description so as to avoid offense especially since Ellen Pao is widely known person. Going by upload descriptions, appears to be attempted publicity for sitar and tambour maker. Blurb in Persian translates (via Google) as "Create professional sitar and tambour [name redacted]" followed by contact details.
Many images are so watermarked as to be useless for general Commons' purposes. Other ones are still bordering on not useful with writing on top of them and lack of meaningful description. It *might* be worth keeping some...?

[edit]Images are almost all lowish resolution, a very high proportion have watermarks indicating multiple sources with no obvious (or specified) connection to uploader. Although Google search doesn't come up with matches for all, these are very suspicious. I would assume some or all are copyright violations that don't belong to the uploader.
(The football club logos probably fall above threshold of originality- bear in mind these also have to be free under Romanian law as as well, assuming they're Romanian, but the relevant article doesn't explain Romanian law with respect to that.

KeepIn my opinion the project's scope should include both potentially historic images, and sufficient images of items and events that seem mundane. I've written about this before, the surprising lecture I attended decades ago, that opened my mind to the importance of documenting the mundane. The lecturer was a historian, who explained that we knew practically nothing about the lives of ordinary individuals, during the middle ages, as they seemed so ubiquitous, so mundane, no one ever wrote down how they ate, how they dressed, how they lived their lives. However, he had come across a cache of documents. Transcripts from the interrogation sessions when the Inquisition tried to root out a heresy in a rural region. The inquisitors had gone through every detail of the villagers life, in painstaking detail. And, because, uniquely, the inquisitors had recorded the villager's lives in such detail, historian had a better idea of whether the average peasant ever traveled more than five miles from where he or she was born, whether he or she was faithful to their wives, etc.In this particular instance we seem to have less than half a dozen images of that rite of passage -- a child's first haircut. - Thank you for your comment. Yes, perhaps COM:TOO, but the problem is that the uploader has repeatedly issued licenses pretending to be the maker (making the license invalid in my opinion) and never responds to nominations or warnings. - Keep I am by no means an expert on taxonomy, but it seems to me that this page, which was created in 2004, is useful, albeit only marginally so, and in no way abusive. Before the blanking, it redirected "Nyctiprogne" to "Chordeilinae", the subfamily which contains Nyctiprogne. Since we have no gallery for Nyctiprogne, that seems to me appropriate.

- Delete It is a taxon name and it has to host a gallery about said genus (of birds). The redirect is of no value in helping to find an image in relation with the genus Nyctiprogne, and is misleading as someone could think that "Nyctiprogne" is a synonym of "Chordeilinae". As of now, the only thing it provides is a blue link which is problematic for people (like me) who watch out the upload of new images throught 'Special:RecentChangesLinked' (see my page: User:PurpleHz/Articles sans image). - I disagree strongly. If someone is looking for images of Nyctiprogne, which we don't have, the redirect to the parent makes that very clear. Experienced users find their way around Commons with ease, but we need to remember that Commons is not here for us, it is here for the inexperienced user who needs a particular image. Anything that helps them find their way through our more than 25 million images is to be valued, not discarded.

- You are contradicting yourself here. The category link is red, that's ok, but the gallery link is blue and there is no media of Nyctiprogne available, so that's quite misleading. As you said, the value the red link is to inform people that there is no media available, so why keep that one blue?
