About the photograph (I believe it is AP copyright):
Appears at Library of Congress http://memory.loc.gov Part of: New York World-Telegram & the Sun Newspaper Photograph Collection
The Sun photos are PD, others may not be, including, naturally, the AP photos -- of which this is one. The agency may have released the photo, but I can find no such documentation and so assume that they have not, and that the photo is therefore not PD. In any case, the photographer appears NOT to have been a government employee, contrary to what is claimed.

- Delete - The original, File:Semfac01.png, is a good quality image of a black man ejaculating on a white woman's face. This is the same image, but with colours reversed rather inexpertly. It has no value over the original image, and frankly the woman in this looks like she's been blacked up as if in The Black and White Minstrel Show. No evidence given, that the (unknown) author of the picture has indeed been dead over 70 years. The picture shows a man in his fifties or fourties at least. Given that Helmut Walcha was born in 1907, it is highly likely that the picture was taken after 1939. In fact it is most likely, that the picture was taken after 1954, when Walcha started to make recordings at the organ of the Alkmaar church, see [2]. In which case the author of the picture cannot possibly be dead for more than 55 years. - This is a very, very bad image. It is not only close to the nominated one, but it even not close to the original (before post processing). As I said the only purpose of making the image was to prove a point. The point was proven and I withdrawn my nomination. - Delete I support the deletion because whilst it was uploaded as part of the discussions at Commons:Featured picture candidates/File:Landing egret in GGP.jpg, since those discussions have concluded I consider it to no longer have any real value. I don't consider it necessary to preserve the image as part of the discussions because the comment that accompanied the image adequately explains the point it illustrated. I cannot understand why it was added to the Ardea alba category because whilst it does show a Great Egret, the image clearly has no value as an illustration of the bird so the category is inappropriate. - Keep I agree it is not a nice image, and somewhat unpleasant for the photographer (as criticism often is) :-(. But it is a valid part of the consideration for FP of the original image, and noticeable editing of an image is certainly a relevant point. - Strictly speaking it is a derivative image of yours so your addition is 'correct', but it doesn't really belong in the main category tree of images. I have just gone through that whole category of discussion images, and only found one that was linked to the original in this way. The creation date and artist of the sketch are unknown. The sketch is of a chapel built in 1658, but is from a book published in 1959, and there is no indication that this is a historic sketch. - The artist pretty much would have had to have died at the start of 1959 (i.e. around the time the book was published) for 50 years to have transpired since his/her death and for this image to have any chance of being public domain in Canada. Looking closer I see that already included the stripe with the name of the author of the picture, if I do. Opportunity to reiterate: the image is not for private use. She is the symbol of the current government of the archdiocese and in this case was redesigned by me (heraldic artist and member of the clergy - priest - the Archdiocese of Campinas).
