I'm not sure if this is possible with this script, but it's very useful to be able to install extensions without using Mozilla store and directly from source, which is more secure. Even disabling XPI Sig verification requirement in about:config does not do anything of now. It does in Firefox Developer edition or ESR, so this option can be sourced from there.

I used hirens.

Can I updated OOS based on android 8 to the one based on android 11 directly?
Using edl or fastboot I can but is that fine?
In settings I cannot.

I think that the problem is that I used updated stock OS.
Using this https://github.com/bkerler/oppo_decrypt I can try edl with old stock OS.

Is it not possible to resize userdata as in https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/OnePlus_6_(oneplus-enchilada)/Multi_Booting_and_Custom_Partitioning#A/B_slot_Only?

I did twice and OOS is stuck with booting logo.
As bootloader and recovery.

I had to update OOS using fastboot but after bootloader/fastboot mode broke again.
Is it because I shrunk userdata to dual boot linux?
This time I just made the partitions before any flashing.
And this time I tested LOS.

Can you safely use twrp as recovery in DOS? And install magisk?

So it is not working, it was when I closed the issue.
Is this LOS bug? Since DOS is based on that.

I guess. I have since switched to Fennec by F-Droid.

While I like the idea with Mull, it's not really a usable option for someone who wants a web browser that works with the 'modern' web. :/

For the record bootloader mode is called fastboot mode indeed in it (as in the image).
While other modes call it bootloader.

I now facing a new problem can I flash some DOS on OOS based on android 8?
I did it and the OS was broken.

I had to use payload-dumper-go to extract files from payload.bin from https://service.oneplus.com/in/search/search-detail?id=2097031&articleIndex=1 to update OOS.
After I had to wipe things.
Using local update in settings did not work, as explained there,
I followed https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/OnePlus_6_(oneplus-enchilada)#Upgrading_firmware_without_Android_installed, I did not know about fastboot flashing unlock_critical that it is an important part.

Using this https://github.com/bkerler/edl/ you should be able to use edl mode.

Ah so EDL is a different mode.
As I said I meant that bootloder mode is the one stuck with the logo.
That is the mode with green start text and volume key screens, as the image above.

After adb reboot edl I see nothing, black screen.
Is that normal?

Can I use a virtual machine for windows or use this guide for Linux https://xdaforums.com/t/guide-unbrick-and-flash-official-rom-in-edl-on-linux.4177793/?

Edit: black screen should be normal I can see the device.
Using a virtual machine with usb redirection did not work sahara error.
I had to try it on bare metal.
Maybe you need to reboot with the app open, after rebooting the app opened automatically and after sahara error turning off and on once worked.

You can use it to revive your op6, if you can boot in fastboot and have done the stuff with drivers (qualcomm)

Guide how to revive your op6:
First of all, you need to access to fastboot mode, if you can't , contact Oneplus support, then have a windows computer and download these file and drivers qualcomm ( https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347798730) and extract in one folder.
After you have all the file ready, plug in the phone to the computer, go in device manager and under port (COM) disinstall qualcomm one (oneplus 6) and then unplug.

Does that make sense if I cannot use bootloader mode?

Reboot to the recovery: With the device powered off, hold Volume Down + Power.
Choose "Apply update", then "Apply from ADB", and $ adb sideload divested-20.0-20241110-dos-enchilada.zip
While still in the recovery perform a factory reset
Reboot into the recovery again
Choose "Apply update", then "Apply from ADB", and $ adb sideload divested-20.0-20241110-dos-enchilada.zip
Reboot into DivestOS. If it takes more than 10 minutes to boot then something is wrong. Do not let it sit for more than 10 minutes!

I can use recovery or fastboot mode (that despite the name does not allow me to use fastboot much no boot, no flash etc.).

Like this image that I found on internet.
I am trying the same way.
Since it is stuck with the logo it feels that there is something wrong.

It is stuck with the logo when I do that or I select reboot to bootloader in divestOS.

I can use the recovery and so I can use adb sideload I tried to sideload twrp:

I tried it to fix bootloader but I am not sure to how do it.

I need bootloader mode to add another OS in the slot b and in case something happens to DOS.
Could you please help me fix it?
A recovery mode that allows me for other signing keys / unsigned stuff maybe?

Before it was working I shrank userdata partition and I made new partitions with the free space.
I wanted to change the new partitions so I deleted them and remade them.
After bootloader mode does not work anymore.
DOS is fine.
