book reviews forevermore
Hello! I originally started this blog as a place to share my Goodreads reviews and provide an alternate place for storage and sharing. That was centuries ago, in internet time. I legit read at least 110 books a year and my goal is to review ones I finish.
This site is almost always about books, except when I go off-topic. Which I have a tendency to do. I try to keep my book reviewing separate from my other social media. Shockingly, I’m not trying to make a living off it.
What makes my reviews different? I give most books I read a fair shake. In the olden days, I often read them twice before reviewing. Because memory is imperfect, as are blurbs, I try to give a brief (I don’t always succeed at this part) synopsis that represents my interpretation of the plot. My analysis tries to focus on the book more than me. Not that those types of reviews aren’t fun, but my goal is to remember the book, the book experience, and to share information about why others may or may not enjoy the book. You would not believe how many books I’ve accidentally re-read.
My interests include books, writing, snorkeling, swimming, animals, feminism, health, gardens and nursing.
My favorite books usually include some variation of the words science/fantasy/mystery.
I love books and discussing them, so feel free to comment.
