Steps the City is Taking to Remove Accessibility Barriers
The City is committed to creating an environment where everyone can access its services and information without unnecessary barriers. Efforts are focused on improving digital tools and resources so they can be more broadly usable, while also recognizing that no single approach meets every individual’s needs. The City is taking steps to procure accessibility tools, including continuous website accessibility monitoring and use of PDF remediation tools. The City has additionally added a public-reporting form on every webpage footer so individuals can ask for reasonable accommodation to inaccessible features. When barriers are identified, the City will work with the individual to make reasonable accommodations and adjustments to support their access. This approach reflects an ongoing intention to listen, adapt, and remove obstacles wherever possible.
The City has committed to meeting the compliance requirements of 11.5(C) and (E), by procuring and providing reasonable accommodation to inaccessible ICT.
