Fantasy WWE and AEW Trade Proposals to Shake Up Rosters

Donald WoodSep 14, 2025

Hardcore fans of WWE and AEW will see nothing wrong with the product, but any casual observer can see that both companies are leaving meat on the bone each week.

One problem with two major companies is that the shows can get stale and repetitive with the same performers going head-to-head. While it's far-fetched, WWE and AEW should work out a trade or two to freshen up their rosters and provide new opportunities for feuds.

Here are the perfect trade scenarios to shake up the WWE and AEW rosters.

WWE - Saturday Night's Main Event

LA Knight For Wardlow

Despite the recent news that Wardlow may have suffered a pectoral injury, WWE would be wise to look into the talented 37-year-old Superstar. With the size and build that fit the company's ideal mold, Wardlow would instantly become a top star and credible world championship threat.

As for what WWE would have to give up for the promising performer, a big name like LA Knight would fit the bill. While the former United States champion is older at 42, he has become immensely popular with the WWE Universe.

Despite Knight's popularity, Triple H and WWE Creative have continued to drop the ball with his career, stifling any and all momentum he has organically created. With Wardlow taking his place in the upper midcard, Knight would become a top draw in AEW and would be appropriately used, likely culminating in a run with the company's world title.

Asuka For Britt Baker

One of the WWE's most egregious mistakes over the last decade is not pushing Asuka to the moon and leaving her on top. In AEW, the talented Japanese Superstar would find herself among Toni Storm and Mercedes Mone as the top names in the company.

AEW has made a similar error with Dr. Britt Baker, who started as one of the company's cornerstones in the women's division but has fallen off. For both AEW and WWE, a trade would add fresh talent and genuine excitement.

Baker has experience as a top star in AEW and would be used as a midcard depth piece until she gets her footing. With elite promos and solid in-ring work, Baker should be an asset to the women's division and could fight for a world title relatively quickly on the main roster.

As for Asuka, battles against Storm and Mone would be worthy of pay-per-view main events.

AJ Styles For Jack Perry

AJ Styles' latest storyline is playing off the disgruntled nature of his character, but with rumors swirling about his contract status with WWE, trading him to AEW before he departs in free agency would at least yield a positive return.

As for Jack Perry, the interaction with CM Punk that led to the latter's departure from the company has marred his career, with confidence from Tony Khan obviously shaken by the incident.

As a result, trading Styles of Perry would be the perfect deal for both companies.

For AEW, Styles would instantly become a top star, earning the respect he has earned after such an illustrious career. On the other hand, WWE would push Perry to the moon, as the company's affinity for trying to bury AEW is apparent.
