Mercyverse Timeline

Mercyverse is author Patricia Briggs's term for the universe in which the Mercy Thompson (MT) and Alpha and Omega (AO) series take place. The universe is very similar to our own, with the same geography and general history; the major difference is the existence of fae, werewolves, and other preternatural creatures.

The timeline of the two series is strongly intertwined, with events in one series impacting events in the other. Below are several timelines: one shows strict chronology, the second shows a suggested reading order, and the third shows the order in which the stories were actually written and published.

While some of the short stories are placed within the timeline of the full-length novels, some contain mild spoilers if they are read in strict chronological order, and others serve as origin stories for a single novel and many people prefer to read them in proximity to that novel, rather than in chronological order.
