Right at the water’s edge lies the heart of Gårdsviken – the restaurant Faster Ann´s. We build our around local ingredients such as fish and shellfish from the bay, or mushrooms and game from the nearby forests. We’re always on the lookout for authentic Bohuslän flavors, often diving into old cookbooks and drawing inspiration from local food and beverage producers. The restaurant is located right by the shoreline and features a lovely outdoor seating area facing the sunset. Opening Hours 2026
Our restaurant, Faster Ann’s, is generally open Thursday to Sunday (from 5:00 pm until late) from April until Midsummer. From Midsummer through week 34, we are open daily, after which we are open Thursday to Saturday during September and October.
If you are wondering about the opening hours on a specific day, the easiest way to check is via our table reservation system (see link above). There you can also see whether tables are available.
On Sundays in May and September, we serve brunch and are therefore closed in the evening. Read more about brunch below.
From time to time, we host events such as quiz nights and live music. Keep an eye on Facebook for more information about upcoming events.
If you are a group and would like to dine with us outside our regular opening hours, you are very welcome to send us an inquiry.
If you are staying with us when the restaurant is closed, we offer several alternative meal options. As a guest, you can book a seafood platter or a meal kit with dinner to prepare in your cabin. You can also order a picnic basket for lunch, as well as our grill package, which includes firewood, sausages, marshmallows, and coffee boiled over an open fire. We are also happy to recommend other nearby places to eat.

Brunches
On Sundays 3rd to 31th May and September 6th to 27th, we serve our cozy brunch. We set the table with freshly baked bread, aged cheeses, crisp salads, tasty spreads, homemade cakes, warm dishes, cold dishes, and something for both the health-conscious and the indulgent.
If the weather is sunny and warm, we open the outdoor seating by the sea. If it’s rainy and chilly, we light a fire in the dining room fireplace.
We offer an early seating from 10:00–12:00 and a late seating from 13:00–15:00.
Brunch is perfect to combine with a Sunday walk along the sea, or why not a sauna session on our floating sauna?

Grill Nights on the Outdoor Terrace
On Saturdays during the summer, we fire up the grills and serve a grill buffet on the outdoor terrace. We decorate the space a little extra and play great music to match the food. What’s on the grill depends on the theme of the week. Planning for 2026 is not yet finalized.
The Caravan Kiosk!
At our caravan kiosk, we serve super tasty ice cream burgers (chocolate chip cookies with ice cream, sauce, and sprinkles in between) and ice cream croissants with roasted hazelnuts and chocolate sauce.
We also offer sausages, lunch wraps, coffee, pastries, fruit, and homemade iced coffee.
Opening hours: 11:00–17:00 on the following days:
- June 12–14: Extra opening for school holidays
- Every day Midsummer’s Eve until August 23
When we’re not open…
Outside regular opening hours, we can still open for larger groups. If you’re interested, please send a request to bokning@anfasterod.se.
We also offer picnic baskets with a hearty lunch to take on your excursion, as well as grill packages with sausages and bread, boiled coffee, marshmallows, and firewood. These can be booked via our website or reception.
And within walking distance, there are restaurants serving excellent food.
