Biography

Idrissa Bangoura is a professional acrobat and performing artist, whose career has developed from his West African roots. The word sanké means "root” in the West African language of Susu, Idrissa's mother tongue. When he was only five years old, Idrissa began tumbling, dancing, and performing. He trained at the Keita Fodeba Centre for Acrobatic Arts and worked as a dancer, teacher, acrobat, and performing artist.

In 2013, Idrissa joined the world renowned company, Cavalia, on a world tour of Odysseo, a beautiful equestrian show featuring horses, aerialists, and acrobats from all over the world.

In 2017, Idrissa moved to San Diego, where he works as a teacher, coach, and performing artist and specializes in tumbling, acrobatics, fitness, and West African drum (djembe) & dance.

Idrissa offers positive energy and tremendous talent to his clients through a series of customized classes, workshops, and private trainings. A performing artist for most of his life, Idrissa can capture the heart and soul of an entire crowd in only seconds.
