Changelog2007-08-10Added Newsprint section. This currently holds some New York Times music pieces written 1969-70. They didn't make a lot of sense elsewhere. Eventually we need a place to put Christgau's 1972-74 Newsday pieces, so the name is broad enough to hold both. 2007-04-19The master development copy of the website has been moved to a new machine. This required various software changes to run with PHP 5. 2007-02-17Created this changelog file. This will not track changes to the basic website content -- new articles, Consumer Guide reviews, etc. It will note basic organizational and functional changes. None of the evolution before this date has been tracked in this way. (Too bad.) Added section for Carola Dibbell's writings. This has existed as experimental for a while, but now has a top-level link. Added directory for Rolling Stone articles/reviews, starting mid-August 2006. Added navigation menu link under Writings. Added page for NPR review links. Added navigation menu link. Moved old home page to About. Replaced home page with News page. This currently picks up news items from a text file that can be poked as needed. The file has been initially populated with entries going back to September 5, 2006, but only partially so. Still needed are better ways to update news and to handle old news. Reversed index page order for CG Columns, so most recent are listed first. Robert Christgau is no longer associated with the Village Voice's Pazz & Jop poll. For 2006 we have continued to publish the top results and Christgau's "Dean's List," but there is no year-end essay. Some minor style sheet changes, including reducing the font size on the left navigation menu. |
