About the Author
The silly and sleepless Mistress McCutchan, otherwise known in the real world simply as Laura, created Morbid Outlook in August of 1992, while still a gothling in high school.

She is a full-time, senior web designer, DJ, and director of The Serpentina North Ensemble. She is vegan, but not one of the pushy ones. When not on the road or working like a maniac, she can be found becoming one with the couch, especially if Three’s Company is on.

The P-Cult
Mistress McCutchan
The lights grow dim as dark and mysterious figures approach the stage. The rank smell of fuel envelopes the stale club air and in a flash of fire, glitter, and no-nonsense beats, Flambeaux and the P-Cult perform.
The P-Cult is a performance troupe that was started in 1999 by Flambeaux, a Scottish-born designer/performer. His vision is one of “pushing buttons, thrilling, turning the audiences and touching nerves by allowing P-Cult members to express their alter-egos in all their savage and beautiful glory.”
Their troupe grew with its various members from the struggling downtown New York City scene. Their current members come from an array of backgrounds and offer their own different experiences, adding to the colourful theatrics that P-Cult delivers in each performance. Original artforms are combined in strongminded style as they take on the garbs of their fantasies and fears and make gods out of them. With the most original new form of DJ-mixed soundscape to surface in years, the P-Cult rock out the theater with personal, fabulous shows with elements of ritual, circus, pop dance, illusion and conceptual art that keeps the audience in a constant state of provocation and arousal of one sort or another.
They have performed in several different venues around New York City and have traveled around the East Coast, showcasing their unique flavour.
To see the latest developing P-Cult antics, an off-Broadway production is in the works. The ritual pop style of the group is being combined with physical theatre to create an in-your-face, interactive theatre experience. Complete with an elaborate set, custom-made costumes, and an atmospheric soundscape, this promises to be a show not to be missed.
This theatre production will be debuting on April 26th, for a 4 week run, presented by the Chashama Theatre Group. The Chashama Theatre Group is a non-profit organisation catering to develop upcoming artists. The run of the show is April 26th through May 26th at 111 West 42nd Street in New York City.
So what on earth does the P stand for? The members of P-Cult leave that up to you to decide!
