Former RTE presenter Brian Farrell has died.

The 85 year old had worked on Frontline in the late 1970s, also Today Tonight and Prime Time.

Outside of broadcasting Brian taught for many years in the Department of Politics, UCD and was an Emeritus Professor of Politics.

He is survived by his wife Marie-Thérèse, and his seven children.
