Roxette In Concert 2025 – Oslo – 10th December 2025 – #41

Unbelievable, but we have reached the last section of the autumn leg Time flies when you’re having fun. The first of three Norway gigs happened in Oslo last night.

There was a support act, Bertine Zetlitz.

It was a fully seated show and no matter how hard we tried, the crowd remained seated. The front row stood up when Opportunity Nox started, but the security guy immediately came to tell us to sit down again. Even if the audience shouted „we-want-more” before the encore and they seem to enjoy themselves, they felt comfortable in their seats. Ah… I’m not a fan of seated shows for pop-rock concerts. It’s hard to sit even during the ballads. They are power ballads after all.

In the end, we could stand up during The Look – some were already standing during Listen To Your Heart –, but during Queen Of Rain people probably thought they would loose their balance, so they sat down again. Except for the front row and the sides. Maybe it counts that it was the middle of the week. We hope for more animated weekend crowds for the last two shows.

The band was in top shape anyway, rocking the stage of Unity Arena.

Chris played In The Hall Of The Mountain King as the intro to Joyride.

Roxette In Concert 2025 – Stockholm – 5th December 2025 – #40

One sold-out show after the other, Roxette performed at a nicely dressed Avicii Arena (Globen) last night.

Before the concert we checked out the merch stand and we realized that they now have T-shirts with all the autumn leg dates, so the design has been updated. Now also Norway appears on the tees.

It was a fully seated show and we had the same support act as in Linköping, Melodic Fluke. They started at 20:00 and Roxette entered the stage a couple of minutes after 21:00. There were big screens on both sides of the stage.

To avoid the problem they had with the lights and the prompter in Linköping, BoJo and Micke N-S checked the situation before the show started and everything went smoothly during the concert.

It was hard to judge the crowd during the opening act and we were a bit skeptical after the rather lazy audience in Linköping, but Fridays seem to work very well in Stockholm. Haha. The crowd was already loud during the first two songs and when Per started his speech after the greeting, saying „if you know the lyrics…”, the crowd reacted with a „yeah!” that they know the lyrics. Per was laughing, but he finished the sentence with „… please sing along. If you don’t know the lyrics, sing along anyway! That’s what we do.” Haha. Stockholmers know Lena very well and she was very warmly welcomed into the Roxette family. The audience cheered her loudly.

The crowd’s mood and actions were building from the start. At first only a few hardcores on the side section seats dared to stand up during the first songs, then during Opportunity Nox some more hardcores stood up also in the middle section and then Stars brought the real breakthrough and the whole arena jumped to its feet. Haha. Stars in this arrangement sounds a bit like a Eurovision song (with the two Eurovision experts on stage, Lena and Dea) and in Sweden it’s a real big thing, so it was not too surprising that this song got everyone on their feet. The whole crowd stayed standing and dancing during She’s Got Nothing On, but then we sat down for It Must Have Been Love. Lena dedicated the song to Marie and it put thousands of people into tears. It was very emotional.

How Do You Do! and Dangerous rocked big time and while part of the audience sat down for the band presentation, Joyride had everyone standing up again. Chris played Kärleken är evig as the intro to Joyride. It sounded very cool and Lena thanked both Chris and the crowd that they were singing along, she blew kisses to everyone.

We stayed standing during the encore. Part of the arena sat down only for Queen Of Rain, but got up from their seats to wave goodbye to the band. Fredrik Etoall was there to take photos and took pictures of the band as they took their bow. I can’t wait to see his shots.

It was a loud sing-along crowd and they were partying really hard during the uptempo songs. It was much fun to be part of this audience. The band was the happiest ever. You could see they enjoyed every second of the show and the love the people were sending them.

At the end of the concert, Per mentioned he hopes to see the crowd again very soon. Maybe next summer in Gothenburg. Nice hint! So hopefully, we will see Roxette again in Sweden next year. PG wished a merry Christmas and said goodbye.

Roxette In Concert 2025 – London – 1st December 2025 – #38

After a few days off, London was calling. The gang played the OVO Arena Wembley.

The doors opened at 18:00 and Roxette took the stage a couple of minutes after 19:30 local time. This time there were screens on both sides of the stage. The concert was fully seated, but the audience couldn’t help but stand up and party and sing along loudly.

Many of the Joyride musical cast of Stockholm attended the concert. How cool is that! Why London? Oh well, they will be performing at China Teatern on both 4th and 5th December when Roxette comes to Sweden this week. Everyone seemed to enjoy the show to the fullest.

Sven Lindström was also there in the audience.

Chris played God Save The King as the intro to Joyride.

No changes in the setlist.

This was the only gig I had to skip on this tour leg, so I got a little help from a friend regarding the pics. Photos in the article are taken by Diego Carballido.

Per after the gig:

Wembley Arena! London! Wow! Such an amazing evening. Thanks so much everyone for innovative singing + dancing. Loved every second of it!!!

Lena after the show:

Thank you London!!! Wonderful night! I actually caught a cold the other day, so I had a little bit of a sore throat tonight…but everything went very well. Now I’m in bed, quiet, sipping on a nice cup of tea! Love!

Roxette In Concert 2025 – Nuremberg – 26th November 2025 – #37

Without a day off, the band travelled to Nuremberg to perform their last German show on this tour leg. The venue was the local ice hockey stadium, PSD Bank Nürnberg Arena.

This was the concert with the least hardcore fans so far and this way there weren’t too many people waiting outside the venue before the doors opened at 18:30. However, by the time Roxette entered the stage at 20:00, the arena was fully packed.

During the band presentation Magnus said he is happy sad. He is happy, because they go home for a few days, but sad, because they are leaving Germany. The crowd reacted with an „aaaaw!” The Germans were so good to them, Magnus said. Per agreed and thanked Magnus for his wise words.

Chris played Pippi Langstrumpf as the intro to Joyride.

The loudest crowd reaction was their sing-along to It Must Have Been Love after Lena dedicated it to Marie and the clapping along Christoffer’s intro.

Now a few days off for the gang to get ready for London and the last 6 shows of this tour leg. Mr. G can have some more ginger tea and get as fit as a fiddle during the next few days. It seems that he has been fighting a cold for at least the last two shows, but despite this he gives 110% energy and you couldn’t wipe the smile off his face while performing.

No changes in the setlist.

Roxette In Concert 2025 – Düsseldorf – 25th November 2025 – #36

The band had one day break and they spent it in Düsseldorf. Christmas markets and Kraftwerk – the city has a lot to offer.

Before the gig, the organizers met Per and Lena to celebrate their sold-out concert.

This was the only show that was fully seated in Germany, so fans arrived only late, closer to the start of the show. The concert was to start at 20:00, but a lot of people were still in the hall, taking their drinks and stuff, so with a little delay, the gig kicked off at 20:10.

The band entered the stage first, then Per and Lena, as usual, and it was amazing to see that right at the second when Per entered, everyone jumped up from their seats. And when I say everyone, I mean EVERYONE, on the floor and on the upper levels as well. Aaah, it was such a great feeling! And actually, everyone stayed standing during the whole show. During the ballads too.

Per greeted the crowd with a „Guten Abend!” and after introducing Lena, he asked her how she was doing. Lena’s answer was „Mir geht’s super!” and Per said „It’s Tuesday.” Lena said „yes, it’s Tuesday. Perfect! I love Tuesdays!” Haha.

During the band presentation Per asked Magnus how he was doing. He said he was doing great in the music city of Düsseldorf. They call it the Liverpool of Germany, they have many great bands and they have their own fab four, Kraftwerk. Magnus shouted „thank you for the music, Düsseldorf!” Per thanked for the history lesson.

Chris played Pippi Langstrumpf as the wild intro to Joyride, and it worked perfectly.

If I said it gets harder and harder to name the Top5 shows in Frankfurt, then what can I say in Düsseldorf…? Awesomeness on stage, amazingness off stage. Loud, dancing audience with some cool reactions and a lot of action on stage between the band members and Per and Lena. Yeah, I have to add this show to my Top5 too. Maybe even Top3! Haha.

No changes in the setlist.
