Roxette In Concert 2025 – Trondheim – 13th December 2025 – #43

Without a day off, the gang arrived in Trondheim to perform their last show on the autumn leg.

The doors opened at 18:00 and a local support act, Stage Dolls started the evening at 19:00. They played until 19:45 and after the crew set up all the necessary elements, Roxette took the stage at 20:45.

It was a fully seated show. The stage was so low that you could see the ground of it even from your seat in the front row. We tried our best for the gig so that it wouldn’t remain seated. We first stood up for Opportunity Nox – hey, it was the last time we heard this song this year, we couldn’t keep our asses on our seats –, but except for us, the whole arena remained seated. Our next try was Stars and we stayed standing during She’s Got Nothing On as well, but still nothing. Then to our biggest surprise, when we sat down for It Must Have Been Love, the whole arena stood up. Haha. What was that? It took quite some time for the audience to get into the real Saturday night mood. They stayed standing for the two uptempo songs after IMHBL, but sat down again for the band presentation and Joyride.

We brought some balloons for the last party and released them during Joyride. 4-5 of them were still in the air in the back of the arena during the second half of the song and people were playing with them.

Chris played In The Hall Of The Mountain King as the intro to Joyride.

Åsa came to us before the concert started and asked us if it was OK if she used the empty seat next to us so that she could film from there. Of course! Sometimes she left that seat and filmed from the sides. Then there was always someone who wanted to occupy her seat, but went away again when Åsa came back.

A couple of weeks ago Lena posted a story with a picture of Chris, Jonas and Magnus when they were standing behind them (Lena, Per and Dea) during Vulnerable, playing their guitars like mariachis. She put sombreros on their heads digitally. Now that became reality and the guys put on sombreros for that part of the show. Haha. It was so cool!

Roxette In Concert 2025 – Ålesund – 12th December 2025 – #42

After a day off – better said, a travelling day – the gang arrived in Ålesund. We were walking around the city and wondering how many people would be there for the concert, because we didn’t see many people.

To our surprise, lots of them were already there when the doors opened at 18:30. Where were all these guys and girls during the day? Haha. I say guys and girls, because the average age wasn’t very high. There were a lot of young people in the crowd. The arena got half packed by the time the support act – a local band called Rotlaus (they were cool) – went on stage at 19:30 and fully packed by the time Roxette took the stage at 20:45.

Finally, a standing show again! The crowd was very active already during the opening act and their mood only increased during the evening. They were singing loudly, clapping along and dancing. Yeehaa! The band was in top shape and felt even more powered by the audience’s reactions. Lots of action and much fun on stage!

Chris played In The Hall Of The Mountain King as the intro to Joyride.

Before Per greeted the crowd after Sleeping In My Car, Micke N-S brought him the next guitar and I was already stressed a bit that the setlist would be shorter for the penultimate show, because he brought Per the red and black checkered guitar – the one he plays during Crash! Boom! Bang! That would have meant skipping Dressed For Success, but hey, that’s impossible! Luckily, it turned out that Micke messed up the guitar order, but as soon as he realized it (when they had already started playing the song), he quickly brought Per the one he plays during DFS. Phew! Thank God! Haha. They laughed at this tiny hiccup.

I have to mention that there were many in the audience who came to the concert because of Lena. There were a few ladies around us who were her fans, they had been listening to her since they were 13-14 years old. Lovely!

Roxette In Concert 2025 – Oslo – 10th December 2025 – #41

Unbelievable, but we have reached the last section of the autumn leg Time flies when you’re having fun. The first of three Norway gigs happened in Oslo last night.

There was a support act, Bertine Zetlitz.

It was a fully seated show and no matter how hard we tried, the crowd remained seated. The front row stood up when Opportunity Nox started, but the security guy immediately came to tell us to sit down again. Even if the audience shouted „we-want-more” before the encore and they seem to enjoy themselves, they felt comfortable in their seats. Ah… I’m not a fan of seated shows for pop-rock concerts. It’s hard to sit even during the ballads. They are power ballads after all.

In the end, we could stand up during The Look – some were already standing during Listen To Your Heart –, but during Queen Of Rain people probably thought they would loose their balance, so they sat down again. Except for the front row and the sides. Maybe it counts that it was the middle of the week. We hope for more animated weekend crowds for the last two shows.

The band was in top shape anyway, rocking the stage of Unity Arena.

Chris played In The Hall Of The Mountain King as the intro to Joyride.

Roxette In Concert 2025 – Stockholm – 5th December 2025 – #40

One sold-out show after the other, Roxette performed at a nicely dressed Avicii Arena (Globen) last night.

Before the concert we checked out the merch stand and we realized that they now have T-shirts with all the autumn leg dates, so the design has been updated. Now also Norway appears on the tees.

It was a fully seated show and we had the same support act as in Linköping, Melodic Fluke. They started at 20:00 and Roxette entered the stage a couple of minutes after 21:00. There were big screens on both sides of the stage.

To avoid the problem they had with the lights and the prompter in Linköping, BoJo and Micke N-S checked the situation before the show started and everything went smoothly during the concert.

It was hard to judge the crowd during the opening act and we were a bit skeptical after the rather lazy audience in Linköping, but Fridays seem to work very well in Stockholm. Haha. The crowd was already loud during the first two songs and when Per started his speech after the greeting, saying „if you know the lyrics…”, the crowd reacted with a „yeah!” that they know the lyrics. Per was laughing, but he finished the sentence with „… please sing along. If you don’t know the lyrics, sing along anyway! That’s what we do.” Haha. Stockholmers know Lena very well and she was very warmly welcomed into the Roxette family. The audience cheered her loudly.

The crowd’s mood and actions were building from the start. At first only a few hardcores on the side section seats dared to stand up during the first songs, then during Opportunity Nox some more hardcores stood up also in the middle section and then Stars brought the real breakthrough and the whole arena jumped to its feet. Haha. Stars in this arrangement sounds a bit like a Eurovision song (with the two Eurovision experts on stage, Lena and Dea) and in Sweden it’s a real big thing, so it was not too surprising that this song got everyone on their feet. The whole crowd stayed standing and dancing during She’s Got Nothing On, but then we sat down for It Must Have Been Love. Lena dedicated the song to Marie and it put thousands of people into tears. It was very emotional.

How Do You Do! and Dangerous rocked big time and while part of the audience sat down for the band presentation, Joyride had everyone standing up again. Chris played Kärleken är evig as the intro to Joyride. It sounded very cool and Lena thanked both Chris and the crowd that they were singing along, she blew kisses to everyone.

We stayed standing during the encore. Part of the arena sat down only for Queen Of Rain, but got up from their seats to wave goodbye to the band. Fredrik Etoall was there to take photos and took pictures of the band as they took their bow. I can’t wait to see his shots.

It was a loud sing-along crowd and they were partying really hard during the uptempo songs. It was much fun to be part of this audience. The band was the happiest ever. You could see they enjoyed every second of the show and the love the people were sending them.

At the end of the concert, Per mentioned he hopes to see the crowd again very soon. Maybe next summer in Gothenburg. Nice hint! So hopefully, we will see Roxette again in Sweden next year. PG wished a merry Christmas and said goodbye.

Roxette In Concert 2025 – Linköping – 4th December 2025 – #39

After a wonderful gig in London, everyone had a couple of days off to relax their voices and take a rest. Now the gang is on home turf and played their first of two sold-out shows in Sweden.

The Linköping concert was held at Saab Arena, an ice hockey arena. It was fully seated and this time there was a support act, Melodic Fluke, the Halmstad band that was also the opening act in Halmstad in summer. Take a look at their pic with Per backstage. Melodic Fluke started at 20:00 and Roxette took the stage a couple of minutes after 21:00.

The venue was huge, so there were screens on both sides of the arena.

The audience was rather reserved and well-behaving. They remained seated during the whole concert. They stood up only when the front rows stood up for The Look, but they sat down again when it was Queen Of Rain’s turn.

The band was happy to perform in Sweden and they tried to animate the crowd. The audience was the best at clapping along though. The concert was much fun anyway with a lot of action on stage.

Per had some issues with the prompter, because one of the lights from above was shining too bright on it, so it was not too visible. Micke N-S tried to do something with it already at the beginning of the show, to turn the prompter a bit around, but that light was still there. Before the encore, BoJo came up on stage as well to discuss it with Micke N-S. This little problem added some nice touch in the lyrics especially during She’s Got Nothing On.

For me it was a different experience to attend this show, because a certain drummer was sitting right next to me. Micke Syd came to see the concert with his wife, Helena. We attended concerts together in the past, but then most of the time he was of course on stage and I was off stage. Haha. On other rare occasions we were at the same show, but far from each other in the audience. So now it was really different. Haha. He was in Halmstad during the day, he came for the show and on 5th December he was off to Halmstad again. It’s been quite busy for him, so he was understandably very tired and he also caught a cold, but that didn’t keep him away from some drumming and playing the keyboards in the air during the gig.

Chris played Ljudet av ett annat hjärta as the intro to Joyride. Micke Syd was happy to hear that one too. See him in my TikTok video HERE. Haha.
