By taking this action, the bishop has caused much of the traditional movement within the Catholic Church to focus its attention on the Diocese of Charlotte.</p><p style="text-align: left;">In this context, it is quite remarkable that <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", Garamond; font-size: 16px; text-align: justify;">Pope Leo XIV has extended an Apostolic Blessing to the Society of St. Pius X's chapel in the Charlotte Diocese of North Carolina. The blessing has been conveyed in an illuminated document which is now on display in the chapel. Here it is:</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", Garamond; font-size: 16px; text-align: justify;"> </span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi3We69oUC5KPUNYpU6BfVq2ghXpN4eZslOHGVz7YBn7wr6P4FZZCUF4ot9zGZjt2RLwxajv183WECPPMfFsQdpbie0G7B_laIOT5hISIwwB-2uxtDqslF8c73jick_hi4JQniERcTcLPlnOqr3PNdVx8ZBJSVdlYiDEZ_wVOX51tcVE9NFat4y" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="490" data-original-width="569" height="337" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi3We69oUC5KPUNYpU6BfVq2ghXpN4eZslOHGVz7YBn7wr6P4FZZCUF4ot9zGZjt2RLwxajv183WECPPMfFsQdpbie0G7B_laIOT5hISIwwB-2uxtDqslF8c73jick_hi4JQniERcTcLPlnOqr3PNdVx8ZBJSVdlYiDEZ_wVOX51tcVE9NFat4y=w392-h337" width="392" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p style="text-align: left;"> The story of how the SSPX came to acquire this chapel has been relayed on the Rorate Caeli website. He usually plays public pianos in location s ,like St Pancras Station, and specialises in Boogie Woogie music. However, he has an interest in the Latin Mass, and has released a video of the beginning of a Missa Cantata that took part in a barn that he has converted into a chapel. Over 200 pilgrims walked the 57 miles from Ely to Walsingham. Some of these had had extended the pilgrimage by stating the previous day in Cambridge. An even smaller number had started much earlier and walked all the way from London. The pilgrimage was supported by a further dozen people who did the catering, moved the baggage, provided the toilets and prepared for the Masses.</p><p>A flavour of the joyful nature of the pilgrimage can be seen in the following clip of pilgrims arriving after the first day of walking.</p><p style="text-align: center;">https://x.com/i/status/1827278549377581212</p><p>Here are some more pictures taken en route.</p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEh2IA21QN0QhQNR0cvxDDfJF4hcL-NvZjTtRojrzaiDxS9plfv_iQ78BM5OKDNpHBJRIXV0RF4BzDk4ag_OGImD4p2iedoCIylh4nTQZx4cdDdh5rREnRnd3ctK27RtBhR2BmuwIisoeIdwSrOCZ90h_RUzmPIiOQKyR-SZeQ6Kh5O0oM5t5Y3H" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="2000" height="171" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEh2IA21QN0QhQNR0cvxDDfJF4hcL-NvZjTtRojrzaiDxS9plfv_iQ78BM5OKDNpHBJRIXV0RF4BzDk4ag_OGImD4p2iedoCIylh4nTQZx4cdDdh5rREnRnd3ctK27RtBhR2BmuwIisoeIdwSrOCZ90h_RUzmPIiOQKyR-SZeQ6Kh5O0oM5t5Y3H=w381-h171" width="381" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEimahd0U2M_NvfATcg6Q4Zvv937s327Cfsh_dUS4D0VmDaH4O-xmuMVo-7lONGRaF94tvV0N0ipzCAwY6Gmnu3gl4uykdcVx3I0ptkXNakXi5CneFPAnNsWJJ6w8b5AVltJeBZJre68sdatpxhUE-2GGQsPlJyaNCDQHVLt0v3Mdfx9TReCu9rn" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="510" data-original-width="680" height="280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEimahd0U2M_NvfATcg6Q4Zvv937s327Cfsh_dUS4D0VmDaH4O-xmuMVo-7lONGRaF94tvV0N0ipzCAwY6Gmnu3gl4uykdcVx3I0ptkXNakXi5CneFPAnNsWJJ6w8b5AVltJeBZJre68sdatpxhUE-2GGQsPlJyaNCDQHVLt0v3Mdfx9TReCu9rn=w374-h280" width="374" /></a></div><br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">This is how toilets are provided for the pilgrims at each stopping point.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhje5uIUi6ldqNMhnKP4inIc571nzwn9Vr342ti8jZvydrleb6EtxLDoHGcQOkrc1Xg1Gxrbk9pmOjA0stzLI-aVjy7xndGxebNyjwAgIKFvxXNSLP_ic7px7TmnKDWeUyNYYFVrYIU-e2NpmrceoK_-UqVpxcOpjmOz7bfEdmdbFVg18Lf07ND" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="270" data-original-width="360" height="277" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhje5uIUi6ldqNMhnKP4inIc571nzwn9Vr342ti8jZvydrleb6EtxLDoHGcQOkrc1Xg1Gxrbk9pmOjA0stzLI-aVjy7xndGxebNyjwAgIKFvxXNSLP_ic7px7TmnKDWeUyNYYFVrYIU-e2NpmrceoK_-UqVpxcOpjmOz7bfEdmdbFVg18Lf07ND=w369-h277" width="369" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">The destination is reached.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgBP2TenIOZ-r20RYRUdyrA7hCXCuTh4f9WLarWhtptwFeA4Qzjf-f0-CS_GgmDspbiXh97VWUtjz039qB7GdgMx1NlycRrBfKXYdg0EN3rYw4l7bbWdgpXivUZk_0Xia5zn2ew3fqqegB1sdKCY5leTvqqo5qJMogQkhBvNNcbOP2Vm5_UKlcz" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1106" data-original-width="1600" height="257" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgBP2TenIOZ-r20RYRUdyrA7hCXCuTh4f9WLarWhtptwFeA4Qzjf-f0-CS_GgmDspbiXh97VWUtjz039qB7GdgMx1NlycRrBfKXYdg0EN3rYw4l7bbWdgpXivUZk_0Xia5zn2ew3fqqegB1sdKCY5leTvqqo5qJMogQkhBvNNcbOP2Vm5_UKlcz=w372-h257" width="372" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">Some pilgrims stayed overnight and attended Mass is the Slipper Chapel on the Monday morning.
