Please find a better way to organize the sessions this year... and repeat sessions that are popular so nobody gets left out because of seating limitations. I understand that the videos of each session were posted online but being stuck watching a video kind of defeats the purpose of attending the event to begin with.

Absolutely right. I met many folks who went there exclusively for the swag grab. They would bring their really young kids (who spent most of the day playing with their DS sitting next to their dads) or wife/significant other that not one little idea what the conference was all about. These are spots that genuine concerned professionals/students could've had. I was fortunate to get my ticket (in spite of ColdFusion crapping out on me several times) and it would have been disappointing to know that that spot would've gone to someone who couldn't make good use of it.

Why not have a GoogleWorld type of event in parallel? It would be something more open to the public and for non-developers, something for people who love and ise Google Products, especially Android. Something for Google cloud users. Invite all the Android hardware manufactures to exhibit. Give the non-developers GoogleWorld conference a keynote of their own. Make it cheaper than GoogleIO ($150?) but not as cheap as exhibits-only pass and still give out something free as a surprise (7" tablet or updated GoogleTV or single
core phone). Rent out Moscone Center North and South for it! It's going to be big

I hope I can get another golden ticket this year. It's becoming increasingly difficult for sincere professionals like myself to get a ticket to this event when others go simply for the swag. While the swag is nice I think it's keeping others from going to the conference. I know I met a husband/wife couple there this year and she was not even in IT. She came along just for the party and swag.

While I agree with your idea of having a better registration system, your idea about the age limit is just wrong. As a thirteen-year-old who has been programming android apps since he was ten (albeit mediocre ones) and has recently been getting into web development, I am sure there are plenty of kids there who really do want to go for the learning.

I hope that you guys figured a better to register than last year's debacle. I was fortunate to get in, but had many colleagues that weren't as fortunate.

Also a minimum age limit would be great. Saw at least a dozen kids (maybe 15 years old or less) walking around with their parents basically there to grab free goodies but with no actual business with Google technologies and taking a spot that a professional or a student could have had.

Can Google just tell everyone they won't be getting any free stuff this time? I would really like to go, but having it sell out in 30 minutes is kind of tough. I think free stuff is great, but it attracts the wrong sort of people to I/O.
