Sky's the limit

On his birthday, my newly minted teen asked me why I did not have him during a brighter time of the year ;p.

Here, pictures I took of him and the kids at a playground one evening earlier in the season...

Throwback to warmer days, before it is colder and gray now...
Jon and his sunny smiles!

Food, friends, fun...
It made his day when we had his friends over. They had fun! Hubby also took them to Sky High, where for two hours they played and jumped on trampolines! I'm thankful hubs' and everyone's schedules worked out for us to do this. It's busy and gets crazybusy, we have to try and pace ourselves.

Keep growing, going now, big boy, we're behind you! The sky's the limit!

Lovely fall

Fall is my favorite time of the year...

Not the busy, busy part...

It's another hectic traveling quarter for the hubs, and the kids know to keep me on my feet and toes, motherhood sure is tough!

Right pics: The view out my car window, from where I park, ferrying the kids for school and their afterschool activities. Morning, day, and night.

But this...
His mercies are new every morning.

*Breathe*. Breathe in all that beauty!

I am stopping to gaze, before picking up my pace again!
After school when the sun came out, and it was especially gorgeous!

Soak up the goodness.

And let's press on...

Lay in the sun, count our blessings

It was a beautiful day and setting...

For a beautiful couple's wedding!

What a joy it was for us to share in their special day.

I was also reminded of how much LOVE I am blessed with.

"Let us lay in the sun and count every beautiful thing we see"
I've been feeling more stressed. But stopping to gaze is good, even when as the autumn chill sets in and we can't literally go bask in the sun.

Counting our blessings, that's one way to help me not lose track of being "too blessed to be stressed" on those more overwhelming days.

Deep breaths, yah...
And carry on!
