Lurita Doan GSA's Testimony

© 2007 Com•Log•ic

there is something that has me puzzled, and that is Lurita Doan was getting government contracts dealing with Homeland Security. Yet when I tried to find the contracts through Fedspending.org there was nothing about her getting money from the government. Here is some of the research I collected on her (will post after I locate it)

Peter Gabriel's "I Don't Remember"

© 2007 Com•Log•ic

In honor of the Testimonies.....

I Don't Remember

I got no means to show identification
I got no papers show you what I am
You'll have to take me just the way that you find me
What's gone is gone and I do not give a damn
Empty stomach, empty head
I got empty heart and empty bed
I don't remember
I don't remember

I don't remember, I don't recall
I got no memory of anything at all
I don't remember, I don't recall
I got no memory of anything
-anything at all

Strange is your language and I have no decoder
Why don't you make your inentions clear
With eyes to the sun and your mouth to the soda
Saying, "Tell me the truth, you got nothing to fear
Stop staring at me like a bird of prey
I'm all mixed up, I got nothing to say
I don't remember
I don't remember

I don't remember, I don't recall
I got no memory of anything at all
I don't remember, I don't recall
I got no memory of anything
Anything at all

I don't remember, I don't recall
I got no memory of anything at all
I don't remember, I don't recall
i got no memory of anything
absolutely anything at all
I don't remember

The Purge Within The Purge

© 2007

The USA's scandal has once again exposed the GOP/RNC's double standard when it comes to playing by the laws of the land. It appears they always want to be able to claim "partisan politics" when it suits them.

I don't think that dog will hunt anymore. The American people are waking up to the FACTS, that anytime a republicon speaks whatever the subject, they are indeed saying the opposite of the rhetoric they are SPEWING, or in some cases the classic projection technique.

I believe Trent is simply stating his opposition to ANY investigation that is under oath.
I think perhaps the purge of the USA's are connected to the 2008 elections. It has been circulating around the internets that the purge was to ensure the players were in place to set up the purge of voter rolls, to disenfranchise minorities, and challenge "too close too call" races.

President Gore Speaks Out.....On the Hill

In honor of Al Gore's quote to Joe Barton's question: "The planet has a fever," Gore said. If the crib's on fire, you don't speculate that the baby is flame retardant. You take action."

Brian Eno's lyrics Baby's on Fire

Baby's on fire
Better throw her in the water
Look at her laughing
Like a heifer to the slaughter

Baby's on fire
And all the laughing boys are bitching
Waiting for photos
Oh the plot is so bewitching

Rescuers row row
Do your best to change the subject
Blow the wind blow blow
Lend some assistance to the object

Photographers snip snap
Take your time she's only burning
This kind of experience
Is necessary for her learning

If you'll be my flotsam
I could be half the man I used to
They said you were hot stuff
And that's what Baby's been reduced to...

Juanita and Juan
Very clever with maraccas
Making their fortunes
Selling second-hand tobaccoes

Juan dances at Chico's
And when the clients are evicted
He empties the ashtrays
And pockets all that he's collected

But Baby's on fire!
And all the instruments agree that
Her temperature's rising
But any idiot would know that.

More Emails Exposing the Unlawful Provision Benefitting the GOP

© 2007

This comic is based on the emails the White House had with other members of the GOP. I thought this needed more exposure in how these people operate. When all appearences on the outside seem to show quite a different picture of how they think and behave within their own inner circle.

Also Why is Kyle Sampson on the Payroll. Back in the day I remember how the GOP would be screaming about "Welfare Queens", ahem, Pot Meet Kettle.
Once again this just shows how much they treat the government. It's GREAT when they rig the system, but if it's about social programs then the government is broken.

It will continue to be broken until someone has the WILL to do something about it.....

Found this site with great references to some of the Gangsta's involved in this GOP scandal

Gonzales Chief of Staff Resigns

© 2007

So, the GOP/RNC are sooooooo concerned with voter fraud that they only want the Democratic Party to be investigated.

Hmmmmmmm, I don't see where there could be any appearence of IRONY!!!!

As I recall the vote fraud comes straight out of the GOP/RNC.

This purge has more to do with the upcoming elections. They are setting up the players to challenge the election.

More background on Kyle Sampson:

After the 2000 election, Sampson joined the White House and oversaw all of President Bush’s lawyer-related appointments. Last year, he assumed additional duties as a member of the White House Counsel’s office. Sampson provides legal advice to the President, helps develop policy initiatives, and ensures that the constitutional powers of the Presidency are both protected and exercised appropriately.
"We are blessed with the best system of government in the world," says Sampson. "The founding fathers were truly wise men raised up to establish our Constitution."

I do believe he doesn't understand what he's saying.

Then there is this interesting piece of info I found while doing research:

Waiting in the Wings
Speaking of Karl Rove , there had been much concern last week that he also might have to resign as a result of Fitzgerald's probe. The loss of Karl's familiar presence -- he's the last of the original "Iron Triangle" of Bush's Texas advisers still in the White House -- would have unsettled many younger aides.
Fortunately, there's a ready replacement: D. Kyle Sampson , chief of staff to Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales and formerly in the White House counsel's office. Maybe not exactly the same as Karl but . . .

Karl Rove More Involved Than He Let's On!

© 2007

Here is more proof that Karl Rove, Harriet Miers, Alberto Gonzales, and several GOP officials taking the Law into their own hands.

They did try and warn us that there was a Constitutional Crisis back during the 2000 (S)election. Sometimes they are very upfront about their intentions.

You just have to be paying attention to notice everything...

Texas Gangsta's of Justice

© 2007

I really can't understand how this "provision" could be considered legal. After all this "provision" was snuck in the bill in the wee hours before the bill was to be voted on.
Michael O'Neill who works as legal counsel to Senator Arlen Specter takes it upon himself to insert this "provision" into the bill at the DIRECTION OF THE JUSTICE DEPT.

Why isn't THIS being investigated?

Arlen admitted Michael did THIS. Yet, where is the outrage?

SHEESH: Is this how "Democracy" is suppose to work?

Should this become the NORM? After a bill has passed the Senate/House, then the other chamber can insert ANYTHING into a bill in the early morning hours just before the next day's vote?

Hummmm, I could see how this could work to a lot of people's advantage.

Good article here concerning Senator Spector's Legal Counsel Michael O'Neill.

Things To Come?!?

© 2007

Well, I managed to finish my comic and now I need time to recharge my batteries.

I will provide more details on this later today. Until then if you feel up to the challenge you can find the story at Think Progress, Talking Points Memo has also been keeping track of this developing story.

Here's the article from Think Progress!!!

White House Reprimanded U.S. Attorney After He Failed To Cave To Hastings’ Pressure
Yesterday, John McKay, the former U.S. attorney in Washington, revealed to the Senate Judiciary Committee that Rep. Doc Hastings’s (R-WA) office contacted him and attempted to pressure him in an ongoing investigation. McKay was investigating voter fraud in the hotly contested 2004 gubernatorial election, which had been certified in favor of the Democratic candidate.

After the hearing, McKay revealed that the White House was also upset that he refused to convene a federal grand jury to investigate voter fraud in the race, which may have been one the reasons he was denied a federal judgeship:

In remarks after the hearings, McKay said that officials in the White House counsel’s office, including then-counsel Harriet E. Miers, asked him to explain why he had “mishandled” the governor’s race during an interview for a federal judgeship in September 2006. McKay was informed after his dismissal that he also was not a finalist for the federal bench.

McKay applied for the federal judgeship in summer 2006, at which time “many local lawyers considered him the front-runner for the job.” Just three months later, he was forced to resign as U.S. attorney and told he was no longer in the running for the federal bench. Yesterday, the only excuse the Justice Department offered for firing McKay was that they were concerned with the manner “in which he went about advocating particular policies.”

In a statement yesterday, Hastings denied that his office ever contacted the White House about “whether he [McKay] was qualified to be a federal judge.” But Todd Young, Hastings’s chief of staff noted “Hastings had regular contact with the White House about judgeships.”

There is no evidence that McKay “mishandled” the Washington election investigation. The only thing that is evident is that Hastings, the right wing, and the White House were unhappy with McKay’s unwillingness to bend justice to politics.

He has such a selective crowd to choose from, from the GOP, RNC, VFW, NRA, ALL ARMED BRANCHES OF THE MILITARY (which he has a captured audience), BIG BIZNESS.

Well, if you replace his rhetoric and insert his intentions you can see there is very little differnce in ANY TERRORIST MOTIVES.

Grover Norquist Tiny Dancer? ROTFLMAO...

© 2007

This man is a very dangerous man that doesn't believe in the United States democracy.
What is he afraid of?
What has him sooooo scared that he doesn't like democracy?
If he fears democracy sooooooo much why doesn't he moved to a country that doesn't like democracy as well?
He would most certainly fit in better, in a place like China.
Wouldn't you agree?

Well this is the same conference Ann Coulter used her great wisdom and intellect to tell us John Edwards is a fag, as well as Al Gore and Bill Clinton, and his wife Hillary.
I wasn't goning to comment about that but this is all I'm going to say about it. SHE HAS NOTHING TO OFFER TO ANY DEBATE! ATTACKING SOMEONE LIKE SHE DOES PROVES SHE HAS NOTHING.......
Like any Wild Beast if you don't feed it, it will eventually go away and starve to death.

Think Progress has an audio clip at their site:
Think Progress

At the Conservative Political Action Conference yesterday, right-wing activist and anti-tax crusader Grover Norquist urged conservatives not to work to accomplish anything in the current Congress.

“Get married, develop a hobby, learn to belly dance, learn to golf — you know, we got two years free, but we gotta spend time and effort playing defense here,” Norquist said. “Our job is to say ‘no, no, no, no’ for two years.”

Norquist predicted, “People are gonna go, ‘oh maybe this bill isn’t as bad as it looks.’” But he warned, ” Don’t eat it, don’t swallow it, don’t touch it. Nothing good passes this Congress.”

Mrs. Donald Rumsfeld Knew About the Conditions at Walter Reed Hospital!

© 2007

I guess Joyce had other concerns than bother the public about the abusive conditions our soldiers were and are put through while under the care of our government. Perhaps she was more concerned about her husband's job than she was about the injuried soldiers that her husband is responsible for sending them into battle without proper equipment and in some cases training. I mean why should she care whether or not the troops are provided a clean place to heal.

When I learned that soldiers were having to travel great distances to get treatment, I wondered Why isn't there some sort of transportation such as golf carts?

The GOP continued to cut funds for the returning soldiers as well as the soldiers still serving. But of course only the democratics and liberals don't support the troops. At least that is what the GOP wants everyone to believe...
One last thing, the troops are being punished now for speaking out about their living conditions. Go Figure, Right?!?!?!?!?

WaPo

Last October, Joyce Rumsfeld, the wife of then-Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, was taken to Walter Reed by a friend concerned about outpatient treatment. She attended a weekly meeting, called Girls Time Out, at which wives, girlfriends and mothers of soldiers exchange stories and offer support.

According to three people who attended the gathering, Rumsfeld listened quietly. Some of the women did not know who she was. At the end of the meeting, Rumsfeld asked one of the staff members whether she thought that the soldiers her husband was meeting on his visits had been handpicked to paint a rosy picture of their time there. The answer was yes.

When Walter Reed officials found out that Rumsfeld had visited, they told the friend who brought her -- a woman who had volunteered there many times -- that she was no longer welcome on the grounds.

Last week, the Army relieved of duty several low-ranking soldiers who managed outpatients. This week, in a move that some soldiers viewed as reprisal for speaking to the media, the wounded troops were told that early-morning room inspections would be held and that further contact with reporters is prohibited.

This is a link I found interesting.
americasupportsyou

"Nothing is too good" for America's military, Mrs. Rumsfeld told the ASY volunteers later at the summit meeting at the America's Society building. "I love that I got the chance to be with you," she said.
