Candidate moves is something we probably do now intuitively, right? :)

When things are happening at production servers, then no easy way to do undo or git reset, but yeah, overall in chess one mistake may be a lost game, while in programming we have more chances to recover.Andrzej Krzywdahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06399276063142826365noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7821856652257554779.post-40649395518258575662015-10-27T21:36:11.216+01:002015-10-27T21:36:11.216+01:00Very nice article, Andrzej :) As a chessplayer and...Very nice article, Andrzej :) As a chessplayer and software developer, I have quite similar observations. Moreover, I feel that the "chess" kind of thinking has significant influence to the ways I choose during analyzing/coding (for instance: candidate moves vs picking the right design pattern).

But I also found one major divergence between those two disciplines. Namely, there's neither "undo" nor "git reset" in chess game!Piotr J.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7821856652257554779.post-21260666962945578362015-10-27T19:37:31.390+01:002015-10-27T19:37:31.390+01:00Plan is to build a home ;)Plan is to build a home ;)Chlebiknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7821856652257554779.post-29552735887753146262015-10-27T15:40:29.094+01:002015-10-27T15:40:29.094+01:00@Chlebik Thanks! 3rd category now, but what'...@Chlebik

Thanks!

3rd category now, but what's the plan for the next 5 years? :)

If you fancy a chess game, then ping me at chess.com (nick: andrzej) :)Andrzej Krzywdahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06399276063142826365noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7821856652257554779.post-2000597506155605662015-10-27T15:27:04.543+01:002015-10-27T15:27:04.543+01:00Master Candidate, nice, it really means something....Master Candidate, nice, it really means something.
